Assisi Garments, one of the leading Organic Garments Manufacturer in Tirupur, India. Assisi Garments founded by St.Francis Sisters in the year 1994. Assisi has been recognized as one of the first company in India to use organic cotton garment manufacturing. Having over 300+ employees, the company is very keen on Quality and customer satisfaction.
Assisi Garments is not only an organic garment producer but is also a ‘social commitment’ to the underprivileged and the disabled to light up their life.The paving blocks of St.Francis life, Sister’s mission also continues its mission in a large variety of social works including, Leprosy eradication, helping to deaf and dump, starting of schools, separate school for blinds, orphanages, cancer treatment hospitals, old age homes, rehabilitation Centre for AIDS patients and taking care of mentally and physically challenged poor people’s.
In Kerala and Tamilnadu, during their school education, they have learned tailoring as a vocational course. So that training gave them more and better opportunity to make earnings and settle their life. In that point of view, Assisi Sisters selected garment field. All the profit is utilizing for the welfare of women and other social activities, orphanages, cancer patients, old age homes, schools like that.
To serve better to the poor and needy peoples, Assisi Apparel expands its machineries and equipment and it is changed its name to "Assisi Garments" to focus on exports of readymade garments, in 1997. From that year onwards Assisi Garments produced exclusively 100% organic cotton garments.
